Launch of Provincial Hospital Resource System Delayed
CritiCall Ontario is delaying the launch of the Provincial Hospital Resource System (PHRS) due to technical issues related to the system’s ability to transition quickly from screen to screen.
The PHRS was initially scheduled to go-live on May 14th, 2012, however, CritiCall Ontario recognizes that hospital staff who will be updating the system are already working in fast-paced, demanding environments and therefore the system needs to be as responsive as possible when it is released.
Although a new launch date has not yet been set, CritiCall Ontario will continue to offer training and education to prepare hospital staff to use the PHRS. The current Provincial Bed Registry will also continue to be accessible through the Bed Registry link at the top of this website.
CritiCall Ontario is continuing to work closely with its technical partners to address the current challenges and will communicate a new launch date as soon as it is established.

About the PHRS
CritiCall Ontario will soon be releasing an updated version of the Provincial Bed Registry. The new Provincial Hospital Resource System (PHRS) is available free of charge to all Ontario hospitals and allows hospitals to update and track resource availability at their facilities.
It is important to note that all current Bed Registry users will require updated usernames and passwords to access the PHRS. CritiCall Ontario is currently working with Ontario hospitals to identify Registration Managers for each organization who will be responsible for obtaining usernames and passwords from CritiCall Ontario for staff at their facilities. Webinar education sessions for PHRS users will be held throughout the month of May. Please click here to access the Webinar training calendar. These sessions will focus on data entry for PHRS Resource Boards. Please contact your Hospital Registration Manager for Webinar coordinates.
